White Horse For Indian Weddings

Gracie Wedding Head VertWe serve the South Asian Indian communities in NC, SC, GA, VA, and TN. Our horses are available during the hours of 8am to 8pm and are clothed in traditional Ghori outfits. Their ghori costumes are elaborately decorated in maroon and gold to compliment the groom's clothing as he rides to the temple on horseback among his friends and family. Our handlers wear Indian style clothing as well. We have beautiful white Percheron horses who have been doing baraats since 2014. They are calm and gentle and accoustomed to the loud and colorful festivities of the baraat. But to ensure the groom's safety, our horses follow the music, drummer, and the wedding guests. We have a 2-step stool to assist the groom in mounting the horse, which can be seen in some of the photos below of our baraat horses in their wedding costumes along with their handlers. We've invested in custom made Ghori costumes and Indian clothing for our handlers to better compliment the wedding photos taken during the baraat procession. Photos of some of our previous weddings can be seen below.

We accept bookings for weddings year-round. Reserve your horse early for your wedding to ensure availability. You may include an optional umbrella. Be sure to specify if you want it included. There is an additional cost of $50 for the umbrella.

If Amber is available, you'll need to submit a $100 deposit to reserve her. Then you will need to pay the balance of $900 at least one month prior to the wedding. This means you can avoid having to deal with payment on the day of the wedding, and it prevents us from having to track down the person responsible for payment before or after the ceremony. It's just easier on everyone involved. Some people prefer to pay in full when making the reservation, and that's permissible as well.

Cancellations

In the event of rain or a forecast for rain of more than 50%, you have the option of cancelling your reservation to use our white horse for your wedding. If you cancel, you will receive a full refund less the $100 deposit. However, if you cancel for any other reason, and it is within 1 month prior to the wedding, you will only receive half of your total paid, i.e. you will be refunded $450 of the $1,000, because we will be unable to backfill the reservation with a new booking given such short notice. But if you cancel with at least 30 days' notice, you will be refunded your $100 deposit (and the $900 balance provided if you paid in full initially when reserving the horse).
