June is absolutely drop dead gorgeous, and she's a big girl. She stands at 17.3 hands and she is definitely filled out. She is currently shod on all 4, but may not require shoes if your terrain isn't as rocky as ours. This horse has a jog to die for (links provided) and will go into a canter from a walk. She's calm but will lead a group of riders with no problem. She'll ride in any position in the line, and she isn't spooky, barn sour, or buddy sour and backs beautifully.
June is a 13-year old registered Percheron Mare. Her registered name is Elkview June, and she was born in Canada. June also reportedly drives, but we have only ridden her. This is June giving the horseback riding instruction. She is easy enough to handle and ride that we can put children as young as 6 and up on her even if they've never ridden. She is broke, broke, broke, and she's for sale for $7,500.
Desperado - Spotted Draft Horse For Sale
Age - 14 years old
Breed - Spotted Draft
Height - 15.3 hands
Estimated Weight - 1,500 lbs
Gender - Mare
Color: Tri-colored Tobiano Paint
De-wormed - 11/15/18
Teeth Floated - 12/30/18
Neg Coggins - 9/26/18
Price - $5,600
Desperado is a nice, sweet, 14 year-old mare suitable for beginners to ride. Basically, if you can sit upright and hold the reins, you can ride her. For the past few months, she's been taking novice adults and children out on our trails. No riding experience is necessary. She knows her job and does it willingly. She'll ride out alone or in a group. She'll ride in any position on the ride - lead, middle, or drag ride. She's easy to catch, groom, saddle, bathe, load, and shoe. She has good feet and is currently shod on the front and trimmed on the back. (We shoe all our horses on the front because we have rocky terrain.)
Desperado would be someone's ideal first horse, She's a draft horses and can carry heavier riders up to 250 lbs, but she doesn't have the big dinner plate size feet like a Belgian, Clydesdale, or Percheron have because the Spotted Draft breed was created by crossing a regular size Paint horse with a full size draft horse. She's tall enough for riders over 6 ft, but I'm 5'6" and can mount her from the ground without the benefit of a mounting block. She has nice, big cannon bones and is large boned, in general. She has impeccable ground manners and will do "pony rides" and ride double on the trails so that young kids can ride with a parent. She is nonplused by 4-wheelers, tractors, deer, dogs, flocks of birds suddenly taking flight, mud, creeks, and bridges. She'll go anywhere you point her head. You can see videos of Desperado being mounted, dismounted, backed, and at the trot, canter, and walk/trot/canter by clicking on the links provided.

Abby is a 16.1 hand, 15 year-old rare breed of horse - the last remaining US foundation bred draft horse: the American Cream Draft. (See the video of the top 10 horses on the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy's Endangered Species List by clicking on the link provided.) She's a crossbred mare: American Cream X Quarter Horse. I've owned Abby for nearly a year during which time she has taken novice riders and children ages 6 and up trail riding. She's taught lots of folks to ride.
She crosses creeks, mud, and bridges without hesitation. She doesn't spook at deer, flocks of pigeons suddenly taking flight, or dogs on the trail. She's traffic safe and comfortable with 4-wheelers and tractors going right past or even behind her. She'll go directly from a walk into a canter, and she's got a nice, slow lope for such a tall, leggy girl. She backs, and is easy to shoe and bathe. She very sweet, and she sells as sound with no vices. She's up to date on negative Coggins, de-wormer, teeth flotation, and shots. You're welcome to have a pre-purchase exam done, but you won't need to have her vetted for a year. That'll save you some money and give you peace of mind. This rare horse is for sale for just $4,900.
Horses for More Experienced Riders
I am selling a few of my personal horses only because I have 5 personal horses, and I'm lucky to get one ride out of a set of shoes because I'm too busy training or fixing issues that arise with my rental horses or horses I'm planning to sell. Given that, I don't feel it's fair for them to just pine away in a pasture getting older with each passing year. My personal horses are great quality horses. They just need experienced riders to appreciate them.
In my ads, I try to be very honest about the level of rider needed to ride the horses I'm offering for sale. I don't want to waste your time or mine. So if you're a good rider, you may want to check out some of my personal horses: Destiny.
Destiny - Stocky Quarter Horse For Sale

Gender - Mare
Color: Liver Chestnut
De-wormed - 3/15/19
E/W/T/WN Shots - 12/10/18
Teeth Floated - 11/12/18
Price - $3,200
Destiny is one of my personal horses. I've had her since she was a yearling. She's 11 years old now, and she stands about 16 hands. I bought her at auction by outbidding a kill buyer. She was a gorgeous filly with an awesome build and a beautiful head, but she had a hernia where her umbilical cord had been, so she needed surgery. Most people don't want that kind of expense, and I can't say I blame them given the care required afterwards too. But I bought her and had the surgery done, and she has blossomed into a great, strong trail horse. She stands at about 16 hands, and you can see '6-pack abs' under her stomach when she sheds out in the summer. She's built like a brick house with a nice butt and wide chest. She has muscle on muscle.
Destiny has a strong will and can be playful. She can be an adventure to ride at times, but she never attempts to throw you. She's been on multiple organized rides, and I've even ridden her bareback on two rides that were each 5 to 6-hour rides. She has an awesome jog and a nice canter. She has never once bucked when cantering her nor does she rear. However, she can get 'hot' sometimes, so she needs an experienced rider. She is not for inexperienced riders or children. But someone with experience would appreciate her. This nice Quarter Horse is for sale for just $3,200.
