Harley - gorgeous, stocky 15 yo Haflinger gelding standing at 13.3 hands. A total gentleman for all ages to handle on the ground and to ride safely. Watch the video of the camp kid coming in from the morning ride on Harley. (He's the 3rd horse in the video of a large group of trail riders.) In addition to trail rides, we use him often for pony rides, birthday parties, and summer camp (4th horse in the video) because he’s so quiet and easy going. He’s got the body of a stout QH, but he’s not as tall or challenging to mount and dismount. He can carry riders up to 200 lbs, so he suitable for adults as well as kids. He’d make a great addition to your family. Anyone can ride him including your Grandma and grandkids and everyone in between. He’s calm and gentle - not dead, just dead broke! He’s low on the totem pole in the pasture, and he’s easy to catch. As you can see in the video, you can pick up all four feet easily.

Harley can be ridden English, Western, bareback - even sideways and backwards (click on th the link to see the video). During the 2 years that we've owned him, Harley has taken many rookies out on our trails. Kids as young as 6 years old have trail ridden him with their families and alone at our summer camp. If you're an inexperienced rider, you can relax and enjoy your ride. If you've taken a bad fall and your confidence has been shaken, Harley can help you to regain it. If you like to load up and ride off your farm, you'll be happy to know that Harley practically self loads. See the video of him loading and unloading into a horse trailer in just 30 seconds! He travels quiet - no pawing the sides of your trailer or rocking it and causing it to fishtail as you go down the highway. He travels like a champion.

Whether you like to ride at the front, the middle, the back... or alone, Harley rides incredibly well. He doesn't fight against the bit to get to the front or ride the rump of the horse in front of him. He's totally relaxed in any position that you'd like to ride amongst a group of horses. Harley is old enough to have tons of trail experience but young enough to enjoy for many years to come. You can easily get Harley into a nice trot or canter. He dotes on attention and will come to you when you enter his pasture.
