Apache is a 12 year-old, Tri-colored Paint Quarter Horse gelding. He stands at about 14.2 hands, and as you can see from the video, he's absolutely a blast to ride. He'll canter carrying saddle bags without bucking. I've taken him offsite to ride in the mountains of NC and Tennessee on 3 occasions. He and my daughter's horse stayed tied all night to the horse trailer that we were camping in for 3 days without pawing or yanking on the rope to keep us awake. He's calm, gentle, and affectionate; he'll greet you at the gate if you go to his pasture. He's ideal for a teen or adult with a little riding experience so you can enjoy the thrill when he smoothly goes from a walk straight into a lope when you start up a hill on the trails. He'll cross absolutely anything - high bridges over noisy mountainous rivers, land bridges, through moving rivers and streams, mud, railroad tracks, or anything else you can think of. I've owned Apache about 2 years during which time he has been used to guide rides and is especially useful for the private walk/trot/canter rides. He's a great size and disposition for teens or anyone who's a little 'vertically challenged'. In other words, he's every bit a horse while being he's easy to get on and off without having to use a step stool or mounting block.

Apache loads like a dream, so you'll never waste hours of riding time trying to get your horse to load into your trailer. Watch the video to see him load in less than 7 seconds! He hauls quietly and doesn't try to tear your trailer up. You can lead rides on Apache or you can just follow along or ride in the middle of the pack. He's really easy going in that respect. You don't have to constantly kick him to keep him going nor do you have to keep pulling back on him to keep him off the horse's butt in front of you. He'll even ride alone. Watch him cross this bridge alone then cross the river itself - all by his lonesome.
I really enjoy riding him. He's so willing and relaxed, you can't help but appreciate him. You can see him cross this river in the mountains without a care while I'm videoing the horse and rider in front of us with no hands on the reins! He's a confident trail horse, and he instills that same level of confidence in his rider. He's a gentleman for the farrier, and he's currently shod on all 4 feet since he's my favorite to take the the rocky mountains.
Apache's easy to bridle, saddle, and picks up all 4 feet easily. He's absolutely drama free. This nice Paint Quarter Horse is for sale for just $9,300.
